1. General Refund Policy
Ticket refunds are subject to the following rules:
- Each event organizer sets their own refund policy, which is displayed on the event page at the time of purchase
- TIXARENA processes refunds on behalf of organizers according to their stated policy
- Service fees charged by TIXARENA are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by the organizer
- Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days
2. Right of Withdrawal (Brazil — CDC Art. 49)
For purchases made online in Brazil, the Consumer Defense Code (CDC) grants the right of withdrawal within 7 calendar days from the date of purchase, regardless of the event organizer's policy.
To exercise this right:
- Contact us within 7 days of purchase at suporte@tixarena.com
- Include your order number and the reason for withdrawal
- A full refund (including service fees) will be processed within 10 business days
Note: This right does not apply to tickets purchased at physical points of sale.
3. EU Consumer Rights
For purchases made in the European Union, please note that ticket purchases for events with a specific date fall under the exception to the 14-day withdrawal right (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(l)). However, if the event is cancelled, you are entitled to a full refund.
4. Event Cancellation
If an event is cancelled by the organizer:
- All ticket holders will be notified by email
- A full refund (including service fees) will be processed automatically
- Refunds will appear within 5-10 business days
- Alternatively, you may accept a credit in your TixWallet for future purchases
5. Event Rescheduling
If an event is rescheduled:
- Your ticket remains valid for the new date
- If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a refund within 30 days of the rescheduling announcement
- The organizer's refund policy applies to rescheduled events
6. Secure Purchases
TIXARENA provides secure purchase guarantees:
- All payments are processed through PCI DSS-compliant payment processors
- Your payment information is encrypted and never stored on our servers
- In case of unauthorized charges, contact your bank and our support team immediately
- We investigate all fraud reports and may issue refunds for verified cases
7. Half-Price Tickets (Meia-Entrada — Brazil)
In accordance with Brazilian law (Lei 12.933/2013), events in Brazil must reserve half-price tickets for eligible groups:
- Students (with valid student ID — CIE)
- Seniors (60+ years)
- People with disabilities and companions
- Young people aged 15-29 registered in CadÚnico (ID Jovem)
Eligibility verification is the responsibility of the event organizer at the venue entrance. Presenting a half-price ticket without valid documentation may result in denial of entry.
8. How to Request a Refund
- Go to your profile → My Tickets
- Select the ticket you want to refund
- Click "Request Refund" and follow the instructions
- Alternatively, email suporte@tixarena.com with your order number
